Workday

Wellbeing is increasingly being recognised as the key to unlocking and maintaining an engaged and productive workplace.

Background

THE LONG STORY

We’ve all experienced low mood, anxiety or stress at work. Workday is a concept looking at how we can monitor our wellbeing and make positive decisions when we are having those low days.

Research suggests that simply logging our thoughts and feelings to allow ourselves to reflect on low and high points can help us manage our stress and anxiety levels. The idea of keeping a mood journal isn’t a new one but people still feel there is a stigma attached to suffering mental health problems.

Keeping these thoughts on a mobile device enables people a safe and secure place to store their thoughts and feelings. Being mobile it usually means they’ll have access to their device as soon as they want to record something too.

The concept

JOURNAL

To allow people to log simply and quickly the journal in its most basic form allows users to log an objective score which enables easy to view analytics later down the line. After the quantifiable score is added users can add a note attached to the score.

MOBILE PREVIEW

For mobile the preview slides in so it’s always accessible no matter which section of the poll creation menu the user is viewing. Having it on scroll made no sense because I didn’t want the user to lose their position in the poll creation process.

TIPS FEATURE

Tips could be video or text based. The tips would appear after users log successive negative days so not to overload a user with information they may or may not want.
